True Crime Cases in USA

The United States holds a large share of the cases I've documented by hand, stretching from Madame LaLaurie's Royal Street mansion in 1834 New Orleans to the headlines of the present day. Each entry on this map is researched individually, with a city, a year, and a short factual summary of what happened there.

Some of the names will be familiar: H.H. Holmes and his Chicago "Murder Castle," Ed Gein in rural Wisconsin, Ted Bundy in Tallahassee, Jeffrey Dahmer in Milwaukee. Alongside them are unsolved cases like the Black Dahlia and the Zodiac, and contemporary ones such as the Idaho college murders and the Gilgo Beach investigation.
