True Crime Cases in Peru

1 documented case spanning 2006–2006 . Each case is researched from public sources, with locations, perpetrators, victims and video coverage.

Peru's place in the documented record here rests on a single case I have researched and mapped: Pedro Pablo Nakada Ludena, known as the Apostle of Death. Working in and around Lima, he claimed God had ordered him to eliminate people he called undesirables, and he was tied to at least seventeen killings before his arrest in 2006.

This is one case, not a pattern, and I have not tried to make it stand for the whole country. It is here because it is well documented and belongs in the wider account of how such crimes unfold and are eventually solved. Open it below to read what I have gathered, then follow it on the map alongside the cases recorded elsewhere.
